Salon ning jing biography

Born in Guilin, Guangxi, Qin Xuanfu (1906-1998), formerly known as Qin Shanyu is an art historian and art educator. In 1929 he graduated from the National Tsinghua University. From 1930 to 1934, he studied painting and art history at the Lucien Simon Studio in école nationale supérieure des Beaux-arts de Paris and the École du Louvre.

In 1933, the China Art Society in France was established in the home of Chang Shuhong, Qin Xuanfu became a member of the association. In the first 10 years after returning home, Qin Xuanfu taught painting and Western art history at the National Beiping Art School, at the same time he was also a lecturer in the Department of Foreign Language at the National Tsinghua University and editor of the Ta Kung Pao. After the outbreak of the July 7 Incident, Qin Xuanfu and his family followed the National Beiping Art School when it moved to Hunan, Yunnan as well as many other places, and ultimately arrived in Phoenix Mountain Chongqing. Award Ceremony of Asian New Talent Award│The Asian Filmmakers Gathered to Witness the \"SIFF ASIA\"

On the evening of June 21, the Award Ceremony of Asian New Talent Award of 22nd Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) was held at the Daning Theatre of the Shanghai Haishang Culture Center in Jing\'an District "Huanshangda International Film Park". That night, Ning Hao, chairman of the Asian New Talent Award Jury, members Yûya Ishii, Su Youpeng, Tan Zhuo and Philip Cheah gathered with Asian film new talents to witness the issue of all Asian New Talent Awards. As an important move to highlight the "Asia-based" positioning of SIFF, the Asian filmmakers also celebrated the breaking out of SIFF AISA.

 

All kinds of Asian New Talent Awards were announced at the ceremony. A museum director’s guide to Shanghai

In February, I relocated back to Shanghai – the city where I grew up – though I still live part-time in New York. In my previous role at the Guggenheim, I always looked to the Rockbund Art Museum to see which regional artists I should pay attention to. The museum leads a lot of conversations about contemporary art in Asia, and just launched a biennial of architectural thinking. It was built in 1933 for the Royal Asiatic Society, then restored by David Chipperfield and reopened in 2010. At the north-west end of the waterfront Bund neighbourhood, the whole Rockbund area has just reopened after an 18-year preservation project, renovating 11 historical buildings and creating a new Museum Plaza, and all overseen by Chipperfield.
