Huishan zhang sale

“When I was at Central Saint Martins, there were only a couple of Chinese students in my class,” remembered 29-year-old Huishan Zhang, the newest recruit to the packed London presentation schedule. Now, Britain’s prestigious fashion school has an ever-high number of design-ambitious students who hail from the Chinese mainland. Pundits and prognosticators have seen it as only a matter of time before a creative talent will emerge in London who represents a perfect East-West meld—just as Jason Wu, Joseph Altuzarra, and Phillip Lim do in New York. Will Zhang, who was sponsored by the new invitation-only luxury-shopping club, Luxup (which aims to attract super high-end travelers with special shopping experiences), turn out to be a leader of that London Anglo-Chinese demographic?

Huishan Zhang's trademark piece is the qipao, the body-hugging women's dress, often associated with 1920s Shanghai, bringing together Chinese culture and traditions with western society and a modern twist. Here, he has reconstructed the traditional qipao and the classical motif of dragon robes in silk organza, hand embroidery and lace.
