Rina Nishio (, Nishio Rina) is a character who is introduced in Soukyuu no Fafner. She is the twin sister of Akira Nishio.
Rina is one of the second generation pilots. She is first assigned as an operator for the CDC, replacing Shouko Hazama, before becoming a Fafner pilot. She pilots the Fafner, Mark Neun, which is upgraded to Mark Neun Kai and nicknamed Izanami during Soukyuu no Fafner The Beyond, and is also one of the pilots of the Zero Fafner.

Rina has brown hair and brown eyes. Her hair is braided into two pigtails but her hair is cut short in Soukyuu no Fafner Exodus. During Soukyuu no Fafner The Beyond, her hair reaches her shoulders with her bangs almost falling over her eyes.
