Thomas Philip Pollock (April 10, 1943 – August 1, 2020) was an American film producer and studio executive. He started his career as an entertainment lawyer, before transitioning to a studio executive and film producer. He was the chairman of the board of trustees of the American Film Institute, an adjunct professor of film at the University of California, Santa Barbara, a trustee of the Los Angeles Music Center and a member of the California Bar Association. He was also co-owner of The Montecito Picture Company.

Early life

Thomas Philip Pollock was born on April 10, 1943, in Los Angeles, California, the son of Helene (née Zalk) and Dr. Joseph Pollock.&

Tom Pollock is a vice president at PGIM Real Estate. Based in Atlanta, Tom is responsible for multifamily loan origination activities in the Southeast region, specializing in permanent debt financing through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA, as well as PGIM Real Estate’s capital sources and bridge loan capabilities. 

Since joining PGIM Real Estate in 2014, Tom has assumed various roles, assisting with the origination and underwriting of an array of transaction types, including stabilized, rehabilitation, lease-up, bridge, acquisition and refinancing. Prior to becoming a loan officer, Tom managed PGIM Real Estate’s proprietary Bridge Lending program, where he oversaw the origination of more than $2.2 billion in bridge loans. 

Earlier in his career, Tom was at SunTrust Bank as a portfolio specialist underwriter specializing in debt and equity products in the bank’s low-income housing tax credit program. 

Tom has a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from James Madison University, where he was also a member of the JMU Duke

Defenseman Thomas “Tom” Pollock began his ice career with the Portage Terriers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League in 1942, despite having been born in Alberta. He switched provinces again the following season and played two years in the Junior Ontario Hockey League, first with the St. Catharine’s Falcons, and then with the Galt Red Wings. He moved up to the senior league in two seasons with the Owen Sound Mohawks , during which time he played five games with the San Francisco Shamrocks of the Pacific Coast Hockey League in its final incarnation. He suited up with the Owen Sound Mercurys for the next two years and began the 1949-1950 season in the Western Canada Senior Hockey League for five games with the Regina Caps. He then joined his final regular team, the Melville Millionaires of Saskatchewan, from which he was recruited to play with the Edmonton Mercurys as they represented Canada at the 1952 Winter Olympics At the tournament, he played in eight games, scored in two goals, and took home one of the last gold medals that Canada would see in the sport for the next fifty years
