Zenaida Seva

Filipino astrologer

Zenaida Seva was a Filipino astrologer affiliated with the television network ABS-CBN.

Background

Seva was a mainstay at the ABS-CBNmorning showUmagang Kay Ganda where she gave daily astrology forecast for the programming's audience. She would also guest at TV Patrol annually as part of New Year's Day observances to give similar forecast for the whole year.[1]

She also provided astrology forecast for the broadsheet publication, Manila Standard.[2] In the 1980s, Seva wrote for the tabloid Tempo under the pseudonym "Karma Karissima".[3]

Through the account of her writer friend Jessica Zafra, Seva is said to need only a person's exact birth details and an ephemeris to "tell a person's story". Seva reportedly was not found of strangers asking her to forecast their future insisting that she has no such ability.[4] Seva died on March 21, 2024.[2][5][4]

Well-known astrologer Zenaida Seva has passed away. This was confirmed by her friend, writer-columnist Jessica Zafra, on Thursday, March 21 via Instagram.

Zafra told her followers that she received a text from Zenaida's phone informing her of her passing, while fondly looking back at their fun times together from the 90s to early 2000s.

"Zenaida was my wise friend and movie buddy in the 90's and early 00's," she wrote. "We would watch the last full show then have a meal to discuss it. She was a true eccentric and never apologized for it."

Zafra added that she was always unsure when it comes to believing astrology but said Zenaida was "always right" when it comes to her predictions.

"She taught me everything was connected. If you knew her or watched her every morning on TV for the day's horoscope, take a moment to remember her today," she said.

Zafra, then, divulged details about Zenaida's wake and urn viewing, saying it will be in Chapel C in the Mortuary Chapels of Christ
