BIOGRAPHY
Iqbal Khan is an Associate Director of Birmingham Rep, an Associate Artist of Box Clever Theatre Company, and the Artistic Director of the 2022 Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony.
He has worked extensively with the RSC, as well as directing for opera and classical music events. Credits include Otello, The Wildman of the West Indies and Shakespeare at The Bowl. He has directed in Paris, Japan (awarded a year long prestigious fellowship, based in Tokyo), had recent residencies and delivered lectures at Michigan State, La Fayette, Nanjing, and was the 2019 Michael Douglas Visiting Artist at UC Santa Barbara.
Iqbal has an MA (Distinction) in Theatre Directing from Middlesex University, was awarded a RYTDS bursary, based at Leicester Haymarket, trained on the National Theatre Studio directors’ course and was, most recently, made an Honorary Doctor of Arts by De Montfort University.

Iqbal Khan is a theatre director. He is associate director at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre[1] and Associate Artist of Box Clever Theatre Company.
Early life and influences
Khan is from Small Heath, Birmingham.[2] He is of Pakistani descent and one of five brothers.[3] Khan began his studies in maths at the University of Cambridge, where he became involved in theatre, and physics at Imperial College London.[2] His first show was a university production of Twelfth Night in which he played the priest, so he "spent a lot of time in a rehearsal room listening and observing other people".[4] He started his own company, Liberal Tongue Productions. Khan later earned an MA with Distinction from Middlesex University in Theatre Directing. He held a RYTDS bursary for young directors, and in 2002, he directed a production of Othello at Leicester Haymarket Theatre as part of the bursary.[5] He had a Japanese Fellowship for Young Directors in 2005–6.[6]

Early life
Suzad Iqbal Khan[citation needed] was born on 6 August 1989 in a hill station Banni district kathua to his parents Mohd Iqbal and Suraya Bano. He studied in army school Damana but for his interest in film making he moved to Mumbai on his 19th birthday in 2008 and started searching work in Bollywood as he assisted Ram Gopal Verma and Ramesh deo many other Directors and further in 2015 he did his Hindi debut film Monsoon[4] and then more films like Murari the Mad Gentleman,[5]My Father Iq
